Nic founded Tradelend in January 2023 alongside George, Catherine and Paul, after more than two decades in property lending and private banking.

He started out in relationship banking at Royal Bank of Scotland in Mayfair, then moved to Arbuthnot Latham, managing high-net-worth clients across property finance. In 2008 he joined Commercial Acceptances, part of Close Brothers Group, and spent the next fourteen years there as a Director and property lending specialist - writing over £1bn of business, and lending right through the cycle rather than stepping back from it.

That experience is the reason Tradelend is built the way it is. Nic set the business up to do the opposite of the volume model: no handovers, no moving goalposts, and the same person on the phone from first enquiry through to redemption. Terms are laid out clearly and stuck to.

Since launch, Tradelend has lent over £125m across bridging, refurbishment, auction and development finance, drawing on both institutional and private funding lines. Nic works directly with experienced investors, traders and developers - people who know the market and want a lender who does too.
